Went for a meal with the family, snuck in a gym visit (was totally empty), watched the end of Gomorrah with a couple drinks.
Locals/town seem absolutely dead, funnily enough.
Happy new year WHO'ers. Don't let any of the bollocks going on in the world stop you enjoying life, you only get one of em.

I do Uber etc and won’t be working tonight, It’s the first New Year since my Father passed away so I can’t leave her alone, and even after 00:30 onwards I I don’t wanna deal with pissed up shitcunts

Can you spare a thought for me please?
In the Hotel Riu Palace Pacifico on the pacific coast in Mexico.
As a regular punter with this hotel chain was up graded to a junior suite with a bottle of cheap champagne on arrival that we saved for 6pm Mexico time as it’s midnight there.
Then there is a gala evening with a circus , lobster and steak dinner and fireworks at midnight.
So I’m forced (FORCED) to have two NYE piss ups.
Then i have 12 more days of 28 degree heat to suffer.

Did have my best mate and his teacher missus coming over tonight but I got the two red lines earlier, so a big Chinese and Cobra Kai it is. I haven't got to deal with getting to South Norwood tomorrow though, so every cloud.

I usually always try to cheer in the new year but most years end up asleep on the sofa only to wake up at 2 -3 am in the morning and everyone else sodded off to bed ...
Let see if I can stay awake this year.

Happy New Years all.
Will be visiting friends and passing on the banging saucepans tradition. But that's enough about the cooking.
Used to play football in the street at midnight on the area I'm heading to. Air raid siren going off and fireworks galore.
It all ended one year when a phone box got blown up with fireworks.
People don't seem to like that kind of thing nowadays
